Free food grade buckets

I found out that most of the big grocery stores that have in house bakeries give away their empty icing buckets. The ones I've gotten are all 3 gallon, but can be used for food storage as they've never had chemicals in them and the plastic is the right kind.

Ha! That reminds me. I got a plastic bucket from a burger joint one time that contained dill pickles...man! that stunk like dill for the longest time. :lol:
 
I use to get food grade 3 gallon pails from the kitchen staff at the high school. Make great waste baskets.
 
In our corn burning, we use lots of 5 gal. buckets. About 50 of our buckets are icing buckets, although we were not luckey enough to get them free. Flea marketers seem to get there first! At a buck each it isn't too bad. In total, between the house and shop, we employ about 170 buckets. We avoid those with plastic bails! I also have a bunch of pickle buckets, fortunately, they were well rinsed.
