Foot Throttle on French SUPER Cubs

We had a thread a few days ago and I am darned if I can find it again, it asked questions about the foot pedal type throttle.
However, just to add to the subject a couple of photos of the linkage on Viki our workahollic Cub.

and the underside of the platform (please don't notice the lack of paint!)

It is a little difficult to take this photo while the finger mower is mounted, so please excuse the lack of detail photo, in fact the cross shaft for the throttle is in the middle of the photo.
The foot throttle linked with the "Super's" extra engine revs (2000 as against 1850 for the standard frenchie) is very useful on the road and for a bit more power ploughing or grass cutting for example.

That looks kinda neat. Some real good pics and maybe a short description might be useful to some of the guys on the forum. They could then proably build a mod to retrofit the NA Cubs N'est c'est pa?

Thats interesting Pat, I have a Farmall Super FC-C that I'm in the process of restoring, not that it needs much, it's been well looked after.
I've been trying to get some decals but being French made its nigh impossible.
I'm going to see if a pattern can be taken off the originals.

My girlfriend's cub came with a home made foot feed that overroad the governor, mounted just next to the right brake lock. I found that we often hit it by accident when dismounting while the engine was running, and so I disconnected it. None of the cubs I have had or have now ever had one.

I have Emailed the firm this morning for details etc. of the decals for the FCC I assume you would like them to be in French or am I just being obtuse again?

In Fact Charles, the foot throttle on the Super Cub is quite well back and is difficult to abuse, indeed I find it is quite difficult with my long legs and big feet to actually use it, but at times it is useful.

WZ You'r right, received Email just this morning , the contents are :-
Les autocollants du Super FCC sont en français comme à l'origine mais les pochettes ne comprennent que les autocollants du capot, les 2 ronds Super FCC et les autocollants "vidange" "niveau" et "remplacer l'élément filtrant..."
In effect the hood decals are std. but the Drain, Level and Replace the oil filter.. are in French, Sorry, it was a good try.
Against that though the Cub ones are all in English :roll:

Hi Pat. Is there anyway you can take a close-up at the hook-up where the foot linkage connects to the original lever setup on the steering post. I can't tell from the pic if the original throttle lever is eliminated all together or if there's some sort of over-ride set-up going on. Thanks, Rick
