My father recently passed away and left us with three farmall cub tractors. I think his plan was to use all three to make one that ran. One has new rear tires. Hate to sell them for scrap if anyone has a use for them. They’re located near Hickory North Carolina. I tried to load pictures from my iPad, and it says file size is too big. So just send me your email and I’ll be happy to forward the pictures to you. I was able to email these to the form administrator to get his opinion so I know I can email them. Thanks David

These are the pictures David emailed me.
Note: I do not know David, so use caution when dealing with anyone online.

PS how much for the pickup truck 🛻?

Thank you Dennis for posting the pictures that’s a big help. I was in North Carolina couple weeks ago but now I’m back in Idaho and my brothers handling things there. I just texted him to let him know that there was people interested in tractors and he said that his realtor is going to auction off the house and all the equipment. He thinks she’s going to list the three tractors in the lot.. When I was there, he was just talking about hauling them off to the dump so not sure if there’s any value in those even auction off. I’ll put on a post here once I find out The details. If they do not sell at the auction or if they decide not to auction them I will post immediately and hopefully somebody will come and get them. Thanks, David.

IDDave, it looks like the middle tractor is showing a fair amount of white, which MIGHT indicate that it is a 1950 cub that was part of a limited number of cubs painted white to be used at dealerships to "demonstrate" how good the cub was.
The serial number (near the base of the steering shaft) would verify whether it could have been a "Demonstrator". Some folks find them collectible and more desirable/valuable.

The for right cub is either a '56 or '57.

I see cultivators attached as well as on the ground... you'll want to look for parts that are buried by "stuff" or dirt, and some that might be hanging from nails or the rafters! Some of the small parts could be worth more than the tractors.

Also, there is a huge difference in value based on a few things (not necessarily appearance):
1. Is the engine frozen?
2. Can you turn the engine with a hand crank (or fan belt)?
3. If it's connected to a good battery, will it turn over...or start?
4. Does it run? (Make sure it has oil pressure!!!)
5. Do the tire hold air?

The list goes on, but the first 2 items will determine the biggest difference in value. If the engine is frozen, it/they could still have value as a "parts tractor".

I would continue to post for advice, before you "throw them away"!
Give a holler, if you want. I'm about 2.5 hrs away. I'd be happy to discuss things with your brother, if he wants to contact me. I had sent you my contact info in a DM.

Yup to all of the above. 3 projects, that's for sure. I would hope someone will save them if only for parts. I've bought some in similar condition and brought back to life. One in particular sat unmoved and untouched for almost 30 years. As one forum member has said, if it can cast a shadow it can be restored. The key is finding the right person. Good luck and take Dale up on the offer to help. She's a great resource for information and advice. JMHO Stan
