1948 Farmall M 6 volt positive ground, Distributor, generator with cut out. Is there a wiring diagram showing original factory wiring ? I pulled all the old wiring that had been patched up over the years, installed new , copying the old lay out. Light switch smoke test fail. 4 position switch is original I think. Wired up, the wires to the light switch terminal became hot started smoking. I removed these connections , switch controls the generator charging like it should, watching the charge rates on a new installed amp meter. Lights work when power is applied to each one from the battery.
