So I have a Farmall H which is my main tractor on my farm, I plow, disk, and make hay with it. I recently went through the ignition system because it had a hell of a time starting. I got it to start nicely now but it will still miss when it’s running and it pops bad when I accelerate the throttle, I used to be able to yank the throttle handle all the way to full speed and it would rev up nice and smooth even with a heavy load on it like my Haybine, now it pops and won’t accelerate easily so I’m having to keep it at higher rpm and start cutting and I’m worried about my clutch. I replaced my condenser, my coil, new points new wires and plugs. I toyed with the spark timing, I’m kinda lost now, it started the day after I cut my hay. It sounds like a condenser issue to me but it’s brand new, could it have gone bad this soon?

These days, the new condenser and/or the coil could be bad, out of the box. When were the valves last adjusted?
Ignition issue - - some place. Probably an easy fix, just hard to find.
Did you remove the distributor when you installed points and condenser? Could be one tooth out of time.
Timing light, check timing on cylinder #1 and then again on cylinder #4.
Two plug wires installed on wrong spark plugs?
Condenser check. Coil wire 1/4" from ground, crank engine, yellow spark, condenser.

Personally, I think a new condenser is more of a crap shoot than continuing to use the old one. I’ve seen several new ones defective right out of the box and parts quality continues to decline. I’d try re-installing the old one and see it it helps.

Just a note; I had one with the H4 magneto. The new condenser was shorter than the old one, so the clamp on the end away from the threads didn't work. When running, there was enough vibration to let the nut come loose on the wires, and that caused an intermittent popping (misfire). We finally had to go back to the long condenser to fix the issue. One of our suppliers sold the short one in a kit, I advise all to avoid buying that condenser.
