Farmall Cub Lawn Sweeper

Hey fellas, I have been doing a lot of research with pondering the idea of making a lawn sweeper to collect leaves and grass clippings. Have any of you guys made something that can be towed behind the Cub? I had a couple regular lawn sweepers and they don't seem to last but a couple years before needing replaced.

Using the idea of a factory made towable unit run by a lawnmower, I built a collector utilizing a fan that mounted on the draw bar and was driven by belts from the PTO to the fan shaft, the assembly was in an enclosure that had a 8 inch suction hose that attached to the the belly mower. The discharge was directed via round duct work to discharge into a 4x4x8 ft. box mounted on a trailer. It worked pretty good collecting leaves but the downside was the collected debris was so finely chopped that it had to be manually raked out of the box. Stan

One of my big problems is I have a giant maple tree in my front yard and it makes a terrible mess with the amount of leaves I get. Just being able to rake them into a pile so the kids can put them into a wagon would be a blessing.

From a youtube...I made made a bag out of a 8x12 tarp, connect it to my craftsman and it holds a TON of leaves...I would put one on a cub in a heartbeat if I used it to mow.

I owned one like this, worked really well, is less than $2K complete from TSC and easily adapted to run with a cub. You might find a used one, I sold mine when I no longer had a need for it. Stan
