F20 crank pulley nut removal

I need to remove the crank pulley nut on my F20, and am looking for ideas for the best tool to get without breaking the bank. I believe it is 2-1/8" and the best tool would probably be a deep socket. Considering I will probably only use that size socket twice ever, seems like a bit of a waste. It appears the nut was last moved with a chisel so I could also try that. Any other ideas?

Penetrating oil, heat and use a crescent wrench? Will a socket fit over the cross pin and could you borrow the socket? Some auto parts store will loan tools.

The crank pin will need to be removed first, but it's difficult to get a straight wrench inside the pulley and onto the nut. It is a little deeper than it appears in the pic.
