Estimate value of a farmall cub

Hi,
I found a local 1947-1953 farmall at an upcoming auction. It has hydraulic lift and a 42"mower deck. It appears to be in very good condition
With very good tires and very little rust. What do you think is the aproxamate value??????????????

You can do a search in the archives for other threads on the relative value of a Cub. Suffice to say a Cub's value is determined by a few factors

1. Location
2. Condition
3. Implements & Attachments
4. Availabiltiy
5. Desirability
6. PO's wishes/wants ... this is Present Owner and of course the Prospective Owner.

With that said, the majority of Cubs with a mower are worth between $1,000.00 and $2,000.00 .... so based on what you have said, probably in the higher bracket.. say $1,500.00 or so.. that is a qualified guess since there is no pic.

I agree with everything already stated.
I have seen $800 cubs go for $1,800 at auction.
You never know what problems are lurking inside! Clutch, PTO shaft, Transmission Bearings, Engine Internals etc.
For reference here is a link (if it works) and pictures of the Cub I bought at auction last month. I definitely thought it was worth more than I paid and would have bidded more. On that day, nobody else there thought it was though.
