Ebay postal address

Ordered two sets of planer blades. Received one set.

Address on the package is: RDU, 10660 South Tryone St. #67. Charlotte, NC 28273.

That number, 67, is a storage unit number at that address.

Why would an Ebay seller use a storage unit as the business address?

Complaint filed.

Just finished providing my Ebay review of the seller. Negative. Listed the seller's postal address as a storage locker.

Just received Ebay e-mail asking me to send photo of what I received. Told Ebay it was the same as the advertisement except I order two and received one.

I'm thinking it was a warehouse screw up. 2 knives in an set and the order was for two sets.

I need the knives/blades. I'm not going to take the time, effort, and cost to send back a $9.00- set for either a $18- refund or get two sets back.

We will see how this goes. Maybe more negative reviews. Heck, I get really POD'd, SC. Attorney General.

Have ordered many items from Amazon or Ebay with no problems.

Have you tried to contact the seller for resolution? Being charitable to the seller, he could legitimately be storing/shipping from a storage unit. For this to work okay, he would have to be pretty small time. He could be using that location to accept returns. Note that this particular storage unit is not just some sheds with a fence around it. There is an onsite manager.

its not uncommon for business to operate out of a storage facility. We recently found several people living in storage facilities in our area when the on site management was absent.

The bad is that they shorted you a set of planer blades.

I always thought you reached out to the seller first for a discrepancy, but it has been over 20 years since I had dealings with evilbay!

If they are contracted to use unit 67, then the address of such is irreverent! That is their business address the way I see it!

sorry
we will edit it
how about let us refund you 2 dollar since we only make a dollar. thx

My reply to the seller; No on your $2.00 refund. If I accepted I would be the one losing money. Either refund 1/2 of my payment or send one more set of planer blades.

Edit: If I accepted the $2.00 offer I would then lose $7.??

Used to be a eBay seller and made a little money doing it. Used to buy there, also. Then I attached my bank account to my PayPal account, which made sense at the time. Could just buy and sell via PayPal. Then woke up one morning, went to eat breakfast, and no money in my account. Paypal transferred $1,000 from my bank to my PayPal. And it was three weeks before the money became available to me and I got my money, but that, and something I didn’t like that eBay did, put an end to me, eBay and PayPal.

The seller recently changed the price of the planer blades from two sets to one set for the previously advertised price.

Can purchase the same planer blades on Ebay in the $4- to $5- a set, but shippped from China. I chose the seller because he/she was based in and had the parts the USA.

Edit. Working up a complaint to South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.

Latest from seller.

Response: Look at your photos and from others selling the same item. It's another set of blades or half my money back. Thank you. More information to add to my complaint to the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.

Address on the package is: RDU, 10660 South Tryone St. #67. Charlotte, NC 28273. Number 67 is a storage unit number at that address.

Also have the user name and part of an email address: jinsche (33,435TURQUOISE_SHOOTING_STAR Star).

First is probably the shipping address. The e-mail address can be traced to a specific location.

Edit: This is getting to be fun. It would have been cheaper for the seller to just provide the advertised product than spend time responding to my emails. My estimation of the sellers cost for an $8- product with free shipping is about $2- per unit. The $6- would cover postage and business expenses.

9 May 23 letter from South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs. My complaint has been forwarded to the North Carolina Office of The Attorney General.

We'll see. Don't really expect anything. Will cost SC more than the $8- complaint just to contact the seller or even reply to my complaint.

Edit: I addressed and mailed the complaint to the wrong state.

5/18/23 Email from Ebay. Your request for return has been accepted. Comment. I didn't ask to return the planer blades.

My response to Ebay and the seller.

Nope. Not returning the item. I ordered two sets of planer blades and received one set. It's either half my money back or another set, a pair, of planer blades.

That's the same information I reported to NC Attorney General. Guessing you had contact with the NC Attorney General and that's why you now want me to return one set of planer blades.

Nathan:

I have numerous times responded to Ebay and the seller that I would only accept ½ my money back or another set of planer blades. The original advertising shows two planer blades for one price. I ordered two sets, 4 planer blades, and received one set. Other venders show two planer blades for a single price. My opinion, false advertising.

Thank you,

Lyle Garrreau
