Cub can easily tow 2000 lbs. or more. Brakes on a standard Cub are marginal at best. Any slope over a moderate incline, stopping the tractor is a problem, specially with a load pushing down hill on the tractor. Next issue is traction when pulling a load up an incline.Barnyard":1qv0sq1t said:A Cub could pull it, but stopping it would be your nightmare.

Now I know what you are telling us, and I am about your age and I agree with what you are saying. How did the mules pulling the wagon when I was young stop it?Barnyard":sopb8b0t said:A Cub could pull it, but stopping it would be your nightmare.

2 mules frequently outweigh a bare cub, plus all the horse/mule drawn wagons in this part of the country had brakes.tnestell":3upnfmt2 said:Now I know what you are telling us, and I am about your age and I agree with what you are saying.
