Don’t throw a cub cadet away

I adopted a cc 129 with a 12 hp engine. She threw the drive shaft with the PO when the rear coupling broke. The engine in my 108 froze up sitting for a decade. My son put the 12 hp in the 108 runs great.

My point is don’t scrap those non running tractors.
 
junked an 80 many years ago cause hydro went out and not worth $650 to fix it. modified the blade and still use it on the 147, snowblower sits in the junkpile. 80 and 147 was the only cc's I ever had. everything now is sunstar's here.
 
An 80 would had been a lawn tractor made in the late 70s. Not as desirable as an IH made Cub Cadet GT, or even a Louisville made MTD Cub Cadet GT. After MTD bought the Cub Cadet line from IH in the early 80s, they kept open the Louisville plant, and only made minor changes to the GTs. Most die-hard Cub Cadet guys still would rather have a IH GT, but the earlier MTD made ones were great machines.
 
Soon I’ll be selling the 129 hydro tranny. No need for it. I’m running, 70, 100, 104, 2/108, 122, 128, 1200, I’ll never sell these, maybe. The 70 has a replacement 8 hp, the 100 has a replacement 10 hp, the 122 has a replacement 12 hp.
