Distributor part number

Sorting out stuff and came across a distributor with 353898R1 on the housing casting. I thought it was for a 444 but it seams too small. Search on the web say it is for a Cub and to be used with a Petronics ignition. Where can I find the IH parts cross referencing search page??? Thanks in advance if someone can point me in the right direction.

353898R1 is the part number of the housing, which was used on most IH distributors. Other internal parts determine the advance and thus what it properly fits. If you look at the outer edge of the mounting flange, you should find an additonal code stamped into it. That code tells what version the distributor is. Look where it shows "symbol code" in the diagram Mike posted.
