Database Update R5

Here is the latest and greatest updates! As always, please review the information for errors and make sure I didn't miss or forget about your entry!

Thanks to everyone for submitting their information for all to see, use and reference! Keep them coming in and I'll keep adding them to the Database.
If you'd like to contribute, you can submit your information here in this thread or you can send the information to me by "PM" to the right of this post.
Look over the spreadsheets for the type of information that is recorded. Only what I have columns for is what I need. I need at least two pieces of information to include it, one of which must be one of the two SN's on the tractor (tractor or engine).
Thanks again!!

Thanks Greg for your numbers, I'll get them added for the next update!

If anyone else out there would like to submit theirs, or have additional information to add for their tractor, I'll take them anytime!
Also, I'm really interested in the C-60 power unit numbers! If you have one, or one has been installed in your tractor as a replacement engine, I'd be really gratefull for your information! :D

skwimjim,
Thanks for the information, I'll have it added for the next update!
I agree that it appears that your engine has been replaced at some time, although with one from another tractor close to the same age.

Welcome aboard! I'll need a little more information to add your tractor to the database. If you could get the Engine SN, and/or the casting data off the left side of the engine that would be great!
If you click the "Cub Database R5" link above, you can see the exact data that I am collecting.

Hi, Raymond,
just got my first cub last week and i see you've already got the serial number in the data base. I only have a few numbers right at the moment. I've been so busy with work and all I'll, try to get the rest some time this week.
Yellow and White (this is the original color, no signs of red anywhere, not a speck)
serial # 253431
Engine Casting 11-22-B
Engine serial 251341 R2
Tranny casting 12-6-B
Differential casting 2-9-C
Differential serial 1543597

Welcome to the board!
Thanks for the information, I'll have it added to the spreadsheet for the next update.
The Engine SN that you listed is actually the block PN. I suspect the "R2" is actually "R8". The engine SN is located above the oil dipstick, below the valve cover, stamped on a flat spot in the casting.
The differential serial number that you listed I am not sure where it came from. Can you tell me where it is located on the tractor?

Thanks again!

The differential number was located about an inch or two below the casting number or above however one looks at it as they are up side down. Its actually located on the right side of the tranny or shifter housing just below the deck plate. As for the engine sn its covered in paint so I'll have to get out there this week and do some cleaning and get the other numbers as well.

Raymond,
Here is an update to the database for Tractor Serial #12662:
Tractor Serial 12662
Engine Serial 13336
Engine Block Part #: 251341R1
Head Casting 12-19-Q
Engine Casting 12-29-Q
Transmission Casting 01-5-R
Left Final Drive Casting 12-19-Q
Right Final Drive Casting 12-23-Q
Torque Tube Casting 10-6-Q

I have a few of the other numbers written down in the shop and will send them when I get some time. I've added a picture just for fun!

Raymond here is the info on the 61 Cub

Serial #219172
Engine Serial #237480
Engine Block Part #251341R7
Head Casting # 6-6-W
Engine Casting # 3-15-G
Trans Casting # 7-7-G
Tube Casting # 5-19-G
Touch Control # 5-19-G

According to the serial number on the tag (16812) I originally thought I owned a 1948 Cub, but after close examination here is the information off my Cub. To make matters even more interesting, the floor board and pedals were once painted yellow!

Engine-
Serial #: 115096
Part #: 251341R2
Cast #: 5-15-T (Mar 15, 1950)

Torque Tube-
Cast #: 3-9-M (Mar 9, 1966)

Transmission-
Part#: 351530R1
Cast#: ?-2-O (? 2, 1968)

Axle Extd-
Cast#: 8-7-O (Aug 7, 1978)

Left Final-
Cast#: 1-9-R (Jan 9, 1948)

Right Final-
Cast#: 1-12-R (Jan 12, 1948)

Touch Control-
Part#: 354383R1
Cast#: 1-17-T (Jan 17, 1950)

As I posted in your other thread, your axle extension and transmission are actually "Q" codes. Your torque tube being from a '66 tractor would explain the yellow pedals and floor board, as nearly all '66 models were painted yellow from the factory and its easier to change them all as an assembly than removing them from the torque tube.

Thanks for the information, I'll get your data added for the next entry! :D

Raymond,
I'm just getting the last of the numbers together but I had some trouble locating the casting # for the touch control. However, I did find a flat spot just behind the hydraulic tubes on the left side of the touch control that had "2 79" stamped on it. What would that be? The other 79's in the data base don't list the casting number like that.
