Given enough $$, time and energy most anything is possible. Take a look at the Cubota modification. Practical? Not for me, I don't have the $$, knowledge/skills or time for it. StanWould an A engine fit up?
Neither one of the pics posted are Cubota, Cubota is has a Kubota 4 cylinder Diesel. the first pic is Barnyards Harley Cub with a Chrysler 3.6 liter Mini Van engine.Given enough $$, time and energy most anything is possible. Order a gov spring from a 154 and you will get a few more rpms. That will equal a small increase. The cast pistons were replaced with aluminium for a bit more. The dome pistons gave a little. I think the intake manifold was a little bigger too.Has anyone ever come up with a way to up the horsepower a bit on a IH cub? I think the 154-185 and 184 all have the same engine. PJ
Yup, agreed. The pictures were used to just illustrate the point. StanNeither one of the pics posted are Cubota, Cubota is has a Kubota 4 cylinder Diesel. the first pic is Barnyards Harley Cub with a Chrysler 3.6 liter Mini Van engine.
12 acres is a lot for a Cub. You would be better off spending money on a larger tractor.you can re-power BUT at more $$$$$ and still not get the results you expect! ----for 12 acres i would use a real tractor and 16' batwing mower!!
