Cub FH implements on 140?

I know this is a newbie question, and I did spend some time looking for an answer but haven’t come up with one. Will implements designed for a farm all cub one point fast hitch work on a 1970 farmall 140? I picked up at 140 last weekend and there is a 5 foot grader blade from a cub available nearby.

Thanks!

Yes, you can use the blade behind the 140. A plow for a Cub (194) won't work behind the 140 though, the beam is twisted for a Cub. Some other implements will interchange, some will not.

The blade, the middlebuster, and I >think< the two way FH plow will all interchange. Other third party implements like the Mechanical Transplanter will as well.

Thanks for the quick replies. Another question - is a 5 ft blade too small or the right size for a 140?
5 foot blade should work fine. The 1 point carry-all will also interchange.

The blade for the A thru 140 is 60” (5’).
I’ve seen we’re people have widened their blades but that just puts more strain on the tractor. A narrow blade will push deep snow easier than a wider one. Sure you might have to make one more pass but it beats shoveling ;)

Remember the 140 is quite a bit heavier than the cub, so the inertia is higher, and if you catch the blade on a rock, etc. while moving at any speed above medium throttle in 1st it could be hard on the blade since it was designed for the lighter weight cub.

I slid the 5’ scrape blade out of the Cub and into the 140 today.

It looks like the size is a good fit. Are you able to get much tilt on the blade with the Fasthitch adjustment?

I haven’t tried to adjust the tilt with it, I’ve only had the blade for a month or two. All I do is clean the goat lot where I feed hay cause the Ford with the loader is to tall to go in that shed.
