Cub Cadet, the Lite Cub.....

My cub cadet model 76,last year cost me $180.Flung a rock from the mower deck.You know the ones that look like its going in slow motion while its flying in air.Smash.One less passenger window in pickup truck.The little guys are nasty :evil: I have a model 102 that needs restoration I wonder what that one will do?
 
I have a 65 model 100 and an Original that's a 62, both have the 3 point for a sleave hitch for the back. They are great for a small garden.

I have a moldboard plow, disk harrow, and thatcher and always looking for more. I had a 149 hydro that I traded for a 154, I hope to bring it to the Cubaramma.
 
I'm currently working on restoring my Model 73 Cub Cadet. It has round fenders, Grote tail light, correct headlights, original tires and rims, 3 point hitch and original 7 h.p. Kohler motor! :wink:
 
I have one Cub and five Cub Cadets. I have a question about a 104. Does anyone know what it weighs? I just bought another 104 and was taking it off my flat bed with the bumper crane (loaded it off a lift table) and I thought the crane was going to quit. It is a 1350# crane. I don't think a 104 weighs anywhere near that. Might have a problem with the winch.

Roughly speaking.....

A Cub Cadet weights in around 600 poounds. Add weight for acessories.

A mow deck can add about 60 pounds, Wheel weights 52 pounds, 3 point about 25 pounds.
 
I weighted my #73 a while back. It came to 640# with a mower deck. A #104 probably wouldn'r vary too much.

Does the rating of your crane depend on how far it is extended? They usually do. Maybe you were reaching too far for the load you had.

Jim, my crane has a fixed boom length, but has two height positions. It is new. This was the first time I used it. I think I had better check my electrical connections. Sure would hate to burn out the winch motor.

I have more experience on CC's than Cubs, so I will be checking in here often. I have a OPE repair shop, small scale. I specialize working on Cub Cadets and cast iron Kohlers. I just never had a need for weight of one of these jewels.

If I can help in any way just holler. I have manuals for the older CC's and I have access to part smart for CC's and Kohlers.

Guys, I've enjoyed my 51 "big" Cub for a few years and have finally gotten paint to dress it up a little (it's a working tractor ) My problem is I needed a snow plow so I bought a littte cub for that and somehow another.One is a 60 with front plow and 38" mower other is a 62 with the front blade. I'm amazed at the way they're built and how & HP can push snow Gotta watch out theese old IH's are addicting Ken in Pa :)
 
:cry: i've been trying to post a thankyou to everyone for their help in locateing decals for my lil 70.. I dont know if this will get through the invalid session error.. cant post on the farmall cub site either.. if i'm lucky it will go thought 1 time a week. I have tryed everything but still haveing problems.. its been sudjested that the problem is in my computer but Dave my computer expert says he thinks its in the site itself. I now Dennis is working hard to fix the problem..Love this site but its frustrateing at times.. :lol:
 
New to the forum but would like to post the weight of my 61 Original(named Ted). When I plow it weighs 1140 lbs with me(250 lb.). I can't post a picture. sorry.

Williams (Ambassador, Geezer, Bill.....) tractor has about every option that was available to the original at the time.
Here he is pulling the kiddie train at Red Power Roundup this year from the local Sunday paper up there, he's famous.
