yes that is the u bolt,jimAre you talking about the U-bolt that holds the tool bars to the attaching bars? Do you have one to use as a pattern? Get a threaded stud with 5/8-11 threads on both ends and make one. It will probably take a stud about 9 or 10 inches long. You will need to heat it to bend it properly.
Assuming you have a Cub-252 and not the later Cub-252A, that U-bolt is almost more accurately described as a V-bolt. There is a 90 degree bend in the middle and another 45 degree bend on each side. I think my bent stud suggestion would work.yes that is the u bolt,jim
He lives in horsey country and probably knows a blacksmith or two.This is probably longer than needed but looks like it has long enough threads to work okay.
