Joe (1958 m274) this is all you fault :!:  I had never seen one of them before. I saw it and said wow cool I want one :!: I showed it to my little brother he said I love it I want one :D I bid on it for him on epay and got it for $4600. I drove to pittsburg PA monday and picked it up in the rain. A little over 300 miles each way for me.

It is 1966 4x4 posi traction four wheel steering 17 hp three speed with a hi/lo range.

I do not think it is making full power. It will not start off in 3rd hi. I have to get it rolling in 2nd hi and shift up and it will barly pull itself in 3rd hi on the road. Also the right rear is not pulling. Looking at the manuel I think it may be the key in the final drive housing I have to pull it apart and find out. Is that a common problem :?: How do you get the spark pulgs out :!: Their is a hex at the end of the sparkplug wire is the plug and wire one piece. My manuel does not show it.

This is me and my dad with the mule and 55 low boy.

My little brother Tommy who bought it driving the mule. Its cool put it in 1st low and it will climb that hill at a idle with out touching the gas. Its great to put in in 1st lo and go at a slow walk and just look around. With where you sit you can see everyting around and infront of you. Its going to be awesome for sightseeing.

My fault :?: I don't know what you are talking about...

Congratulations on your new purchase! They are a lot of fun. First off, mules are not positive traction. They are locked front and rear. All four wheels turn at the same speed all of the time. Also, it's not driven like a cub where you start off in whatever gear you want to be in. Third high is a road gear with a top speed of around 25 mph. The transmission is synchronized and in high range I always start in first and shift up to second and third just like a normal car or truck. In fact, the transfer case is basically an additional two speed unsynchronized transmission and it can be shifted while moving by double clutching...

Anyway, instead of typing everything out here I replied to your e-mail with my phone number. I'll be happy to talk with you about the spark plugs, final drive problem, and any other questions you may have.

Bigdog I ask my brother if I can take it. That way John can take it for a test drive :!:

We are taking it to the farm the in two weeks. And I have a full truck load going to and from Docfest.

Bill I did not even know they existed untill the end of januray. You will just have to come back out

Thanks Joe I will call this evening. I knew it did not have a differental in the front I was not shure on the back axel. I am looking forward to talking to you.

cowboy! i entered a raffle for one of those twice over the last two years. $20 a ticket .... theres a place called rogers ohio and a veterans group raffles them off once a year! not too far away from pittsburgh. how does it do in the mud? if you took the ohio turnpike to pa you were within a few minutes from my place in lordstown oh. i am envious!

Cool John

I does pretty well off road and rides smoother than I thought it would. Right now the tires don't have much tread on them. Tommy has to get new tires and I have to fix the right rear axel before I can tell how it will do in the mud.

Take care John
