just got the second try bracket bolted on and it works. Boy I wish I would have tried flipping it . Oh well I like the one I made. Now to get the top bracket bent into shape and wire it up.
From Federated Auto parts, assume same alternator Yogie listed. USA/7127SE. Tax included $57.55. Remanufactured Delco, converted over to true one wire.Yogie":edqrrgsl said:Here ya go, you'll want a Napa Delco 213 401 1SW it will kick in a lower rpm's than the 10SI so you won't need to change pulleys.
Some place in your wiring you have the alternator feeding the ignition system - by passing the ignition switch.huntingpal":2qw6rdo3 said:I can not stop the tractor with the on off switch any more. I haven't got the diode picked up and in could that be the problem or did I wire something wrong?
I have two tractors converted over to 12 volt alternators. Upon engine start up the 20 amp max meter will almost peg out on the plus side. Within a few moments the amp meter will start to lower it's reading - until after a minute or two the amp meter shows a charge of a few amps.huntingpal":2qw6rdo3 said:The amp gauge is peged out to the charge side when running is that normall with a alternator?
