carb choke arm

my 154 lo boy carb choke arm is in the 6 o-clock position when open and about 4 o-clock when closed. all the aftermarket carbs have the arm at 3 o-clock when open and about 1 o-clock when closed what's the deal?? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. It's possible that the "clamp" is loose on the shaft. You can take it off and see if the splines on the shaft or the lever are worn out. TM Tractor (forum sponsor) sells a replacement lever. JMHO Stan

To my knowledge, the number series Lo Boys do not have a choke lever on the back side of the carb that can come loose. They have a cable choke control that fastens to the choke lever on the front side of the carb. Posting a photo would certainly help us determine what the real problem is here.
