Burch Store Tractors

Met the young man who started it years ago...very nice. I have bought some things from him, but his prices are definitely high...they weren't originally. He now sells new and used stuff, and obviously relies on the internet for much of his business. He used to be small-time and inexpensive. His place is about :30 from me.

I have been told that the locals hate to see him show up at a sale......likes to show up at farm sales and bid everything up, then "passes it on to the customer" when he sells stuff.

All I know is what you guys/gals are telling me. He had an old new stock IHC oil gauge (Rochester, NY) for $39 with free shipping, while the competitors were $5 higher with shipping. I wanted an original looking gauge. Most others offer ones that don't look as good for the higher price.

Just sayin'... I'll let you all know when it arrives.
 
I have used them a few times for items that I couldn’t get anywhere else such as the cultivator bolt shown below. It is advertised as MADE IN USA and it does seem to be better metal than the ones from Agri Supply.

Arrived on time and as described (NOS). Free shipping and $5 less than anyplace else selling new. I like that it's made in the USA.

That's my opinion too, Al. The IHC doesn't match the older style I've seen before---but it is superior to some newer ones I've seen lately! Regardless, it's mine now.
