Best Way To Remove Hood Emblem

there pins on the emblem that slide into holes of the molding clips, oil them up and pry the emblem out evenly around the outside edge and it will slide out of the clips
 
If the hood is off, and your clips just do not want to release, I have actually used small diagonal cutters to remove pieces of the insert until I can get the pin released. That is for the clips that press INTO the hole.

If you have the flat Tinnerman nuts, you can pry up one side then the other of the angled holding tabs until you can pry or unscrew that "nut".
 
Anybody know what size those clips are. There are two different sizes depending on the year.

I have also bought and used a selection of Tinnerman nuts from Lowes...they have several sizes. Recently, however, I have found my local Ace Hardware store has a better hardware selection!
