Antifreeze

I would use any regular green coolant...whatever brand.....mix it BEFORE you pour it in...that is important!!!!!!!!!!!!!No water pump to mix it up...50/50 mix and you are good to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No dumb questions...only faster anwsers!!!!!!🥸🥸🥸🥸

Thanks, I have lots to learn about my 2 cubs. This site is a wealth of information and experienced Cub fowlkes.
 
I buy the "undiluted" Prestone and mix it myself. I always have an empty jug from previous purchases to divide it up. Mix 50/50 and it should be good to -30°F.

I do exactly the same, although with NAPA's Green Antifreeze:

It's readily available, and when it goes on sale, I pick up a few more gallons.

Once I dilute 1 gallon to make two, the second one is used to top off my 5 Cubs as needed. That way I always know that the antifreeze has not been diluted by adding just water.
 
old cheep store 50-50 here in everything for years and never had a freeze up. $5. a gallon all you want to carry home.
 
I put in fresh 50-50 Prestone every year. Not because the Prestone won't protect from freezing, but to keep the corrosion inhibitor fresh. My Cub runs hot in the summer time when I'm mowing heavy grass. Heat breaks down the corrosion inhibitor.
