Another Project

Brought my cousins Allis Chalmers G home yesterday. She wants it running. It has sat for several years. Got it in the shop today and up on stands. Removed the tires and started draining fluids. No water in engine oil and still had antifreeze in the radiator. Engine turns over by hand with only a couple of exhaust valves hanging open. Can not read serial number so I do not know the year. Hopefully the engine does not need much because it will need 1 rear and 2 front tires and at least 2 rims. Do not know about clutch or brakes yet. Shifter will not move so I started spraying PB Blaster on the topside hoping to get it to move.
This is my first Allis project so I may be back with a few questions.

Great to see the G. Fond memories, the first tractor that I remember from my childhood 75+ years ago was my Grandpa's G (his first tractor that replaced the mule team). Enjoy the ride and thanks for preserving the history. Stan

That Continental motor is extreeeemly hard to get parts for and the round gas tank has to be custom made since most of them were ate out after sitting for years.
A friend of mine had one and it ended up getting junked because he couldnt find enough parts to make it run again. He had a gas tank made by a welding shop,---dont know what he ever did with it,---probably went in the junk load with the rest of the tractor.
They are a pricey tractor if they are in excellent condition. good luck on getting yours runnin!!
