American Pickers

Have not saw the show in quite some time.

Gee.... I guess that means I can not get my mitts on that Cub! :(

How much did they pay for the Cub? Implements?

They walked right passed it and never made an offer. I believe a picture was poster here a week or so ago.

Not sure if that’s a good or a bad thing.
I guess it’d be a huge benefit to you Bill.
Just one episode of them telling about the Cub and it’s collectibility would skyrocket it’s interest and run it’s value up. Your inventory would probably double in value.
A good example is Forged in fire.
After forged in fire hit the air everything blacksmith related got hard to find and expensive.

I don't like them guys....Yep they show any interest and prices go up.....makes it tough to get any good deals

I watch it occasionally. But, it’s just another fake, scripted, “reality” show.
Exactly, I only watch it if they have it on at the Legion when we are there. I never intentionally watch it. My understanding is the talk to the owner about prices before they film so the owner knows what is coming.

The were scouting places in our area a couple years ago and a friend asked if I was going to call them. I told him I didn't need them snooping around my barn.

Frank actually bought an older Wheel Horse from the 60s on one of their shows a few years back. He overpaid for it.

I have heard of a couple of guys on other forums say Mike and Frank came to their place. A production team show up first, days or weeks in advance, and then Mike and Frank showed up. The comments from the guys on these forums said, that both Mike and Frank do get down and dirty picking through things, but if the production team doesn't find anything that they would be interested in, it doesn't air. Also, they are only interested in a few things and will pass up a lot of other, maybe as valuable things in the process. And the production team do help out with loading things.
