We recently purchased this cub spur of the moment.

How do I identify its year?

Any other information on this sweet little tractor.

Thank you

Hi,
The serial number plate on the Cub in your picture shows that it is a French Cub. They were built in France. It isn't a 1950, it is newer than 1950. The French Cubs have their own serial numbers, and serial number list. The serial number list above is for USA Cubs.
Below is info I found online in the past, they are IH papers. They began making French Cubs in 1955 the info says.
The 1st paper has the IH name, and other info, so you can see the style of paper it is.
The 2nd paper has the Cub, and Super Cub serial numbers. You can see the IH through the paper, the numbers are on the back of the paper.
If you can read French, you would know what it all says.
The French Super Cubs have a different serial number plate.
The 3rd picture is a French Cub serial number plate.
The 4th picture is a French Super Cub serial number plate.
The 1st French Cub is serial number 700001.
If yours is 711010, it is a 1957 French Cub. Your picture of the serial number plate doesn't enlarge, it's hard to see the number well.
French Cubs are about like USA built Cubs, but they have electrical parts made in France, starter, generator, lights.
Yours has the style of hood and grille used on USA Cubs in later 1954 - mid 1958. :)
