I have a 1966 International one-ton truck with a 265 cu. in. straight six engine. Parked 7 years ago, when I couldn't solve an over-heating issue. I ran it on recreational fuel (no ethanol) and had a small amount left in the tank. With a shot of fuel as primer in the carburetor, it started right up with a new battery. After a few minutes it ran on its own smoothly. I use a product called Fuel Optimizer by Motorkote in all my older equipment, and among other benefits, it acts as a fuel stabilizer. The product is still available and only one ounce per 10 gallons of fuel is all that is needed. Very impressed.
