That M looks like it's been pretty well taken care of.

For a '50 it is straight only a few dings to fill.I went to the junkyard one day and got luckly I got this

it was froze up but some soaking and a hammer freed it up replaced the o-ring it works great. Two way hyd valve and the grill insert in one day.It just don't get better than that.

We had a 50 M that was a real workhorse. Also had a 46 M and a couple of H's over the years. You're right - gotta love the remote hydraulics. Don't know what we would have done without them.

Mine has dirt and oil all over it.That one is in pretty good shape.Mine does have a lot less gunk on it now than when I got it.Kevin 8) 8)

Good looking M there, Question though what is that sensor thats in the block under the oil fill (the top pic) are you runnning anouther oil pressure gauge there or something?

Andrew

Andrew - just guessing here but maybe a pressure switch to excite the alternator instead of running a light or diode????

yep its aswitch for charging the alt.It dosen't charge unless there is oil pressure and quits when the engine is not running .To keep from burning up the alternato in case the switch is left on.
