A hitch for the front receiver

I came across this spiffy ATV hitch while cruising Amazon a few days ago and thought it might be just the ticket for the front of the Cub; a 2" ball, a pin for a chain, rope, or strap, and a pinhole for a clevis/wagon hitch. Reasonable at $25 I think. The other doofungus is a hitch tightener. I use one on all my hitches. Smoother towing and quieter too, no banging up and down of the hitch in the receiver.

Remember, that receever is not meant to move heavy loads. Damage to your front end could result. That reciever is meant as a tie down point or moving light loads.

Yep, I know that. Primary use will be to pull out the mini haywagon and to reposition the trailer (empty) behind the shed for Winter storage. I can do it with the car but trying to back it up while looking backwards while avoiding the snow plow (and other stuff) is a pain. Sitting up high on the tractor facing it should prove to be much easier, I would think.

Yea I have seen those for years for ATVs but I have had one and looked at their accessories for years now. Some of them I think are even made with a tow hook in the mix somehow if memory serves me right.

Looks handy. I ordered one for the 184.
I have a trailer mover on the 3-point hitch and drag around a trailer and an offset mower. Having a ball and a tongue will save some walking back to the garage to get the right stinger.

You must of received a discount, because the link you gave shows Amazon's price of $29.89, not $25.

I also like the ability to change out a ball if needed. This one's welded on. Good idea, though.

I like that. I have not seen one of those before. I cut the ends off of a 20oz pop bottle and slip it over the tube on the ball mount, then hit it with the heat gun to shrink it into place. Cut the holes for the pin with a utility knife, and voila! No more thumping and the plastic prevents the ball mount from rusting to the inside of the receiver if you leave it in for extended periods. But I like the hitch tightener too!

If you shop much on Amazon you will notice the prices change all the time. Sometimes daily. You will see this if you buy something more than once, like an oil filter . Or for parents who have a toy in the cart thinking about buying it. Put it in at $70 and next thing you know it's $110!!!???

It happens for the stuff I buy for myself too. You can often times wait it out as well. Sometimes price increases are seasonal as well.

I just remembered they actually will point it out to you if the item is in your cart. I use the cart like a want list or for stuff I am comparing or thinking about. It puts it all on the same page. I will eventually delete stuff out if it but not often enough. I have hundreds of things saved for later most can be deleted. But say you put that hitch I. Your cart today. You come back next week to order it and something else or just to browse amazon. If the price has changed up or down since you placed it in the next time you click the cart there will be an astrix up top that says some prices have changed for items in your cart if it's multiples of it's just one item I believe the astrix says item x has increased in price from $25 to $28 just as an example.
