6vold led headlights?

Does anyone know of 6volt headlights that are compatible with cub headlights? I would love to have a brighter option for winter plowing.

You should be able to find a 4511 sealed beam. It's a 6 volt sealed beam although it has a locating tab on the inside of the light that the original light bulb don't have. You might need to cut a notch in the headlight housing to be able to install it. That notch won't be visible once the light is assembled. The notch can be easily cut out with a Dremel Tool. The only bulbs that are a direct fit into your housings are cost prohibitive, at least for me. I have found some 6 volts leds bulbs for the tear drop lights that are polarity independent. but they have not been for sale for a while. I have found 6 volt led sealed beams but they are negative ground

I used 12V LED PAR36 sealed beam units with negative ground, wired a 6-12 DC to DC converter inline, and ran independent ground wires from the converter to the lights. More on that in this thread.

I checked out the details and it looks like this will work in my 1948 Cub with the "Tear Drop" headlights. I just ordered two of them. I will let you know how the new LED's work out.

I just got my 6V LED bulbs and installed them in my 1948 Cub. The are Fantastic! The are a super bright white light. They fit perfectly in my tear drop style headlight. I am going to order two more, one for the taillight and the other as a spare.
