Has anyone else tried the T-Mobile or Verzion home internet? I got the T-Mobile about 5 months ago and it's been great. My speeds are far better than the DSL I had. I think performance varies by location but I have a cell tower about 1.5 miles away.
$30.00 a month -no hidden fees or taxes- price will never go up- free Netflix and some other incentives included.
 
All cell services are horrible where I live, so no, I haven’t tried them. Our only viable option for internet is Starlink. Finally got it and love it. But of course, it’s not cheap
 
I'm on the waiting list for the TMobile internet. But I borrowed my daughter's, who lives up hill behind me, and it's been working pretty good. I have to return it back to here though soon.

I do get tire of seeing the ads for Spectrum, T-Mobile, etc. on how fast their internet service are, and how stupid we are for not getting them, when in reality, they're not available for most rural areas.
 
We had the starlink and ended up passing it on to my niece who lives out in the wilds of western PA. We also used it up at camp in Maine and it worked pretty well...but in the end we found it dropped out more than we wanted at home and we aren't rural...and we are Testla-centric with a car and 2 powerwalls. We have the TMobile cell system and it is much better than wired.
 
We have a Verizon Jet Pack internet, got it mainly for traveling. Cell service is horrible here, too, but it does work most of the time. When our D S L service got so terrible, we used it for home internet, it was really slow, most of the time. We now have “line of sight” internet from a local provider, that has been pretty good. We still use the Jet Pack when traveling.
 
Verizon 5g Home Internet became available in my area about 6 months ago. We switched immediately and it has been great. Our previous service (best available to our address) was AT&T Uverse at a maximum of 6Mb/sec. Verizon 5g generally is getting me speeds of over 300Mb/sec and it is cheaper than what we had before. There is no data cap or throttling. The only issue we had was a 1.5 day period where our local Verizon tower was completely down which took down all cell service as well.
 
We have Frontier for Internet and Local TV, switched to their Fiber Optic 1GB back in the fall. Wicked fast compared to what we had with them prior. We can have the TV on streaming a movie, couple of computers on the internet, and wifi connection with phones with no issues. Probably going to dump the Local TV - hardly gets used.
I have an iPhone for work, using AT&T, so no direct cost to me.
Family Plan with Verizon for my bride, 2 of 3 daughters, Aron, and son-in-law - so 5 lines in all. Even get a military discount even though Erik is not on the plan! Unlimited everything. One with hotspot and one with loss/damage insurance (Aron). Works out to $35 for each.
 
I got T-Mobile last August. Main reason was $50 per month and price that never goes up. Not many options here and it was $85 a month for the previous carrier before T-Mobile became available and we switched. It’s adequate for our use which is just internet browsing and streaming TV with one TV and an IPad. We loose connection to the internet sometimes which averages maybe 1-2 times per week but it always comes back after a reboot of the router. It has never happened more than once per day. It might happen 3 days in a row then goes 2 weeks with no problems. It seems to be getting better. It probable isn’t good enough for a work from home job but is plenty good enough for our usage.
