Looking for a coil for my father in law's model 3322 push mower. He's had it since new but the coil is bad. He would like to keep using it. I've looked all over the internet with no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks , Gary

Identify the engine's make, model, and serial numbers. Then try your local auto parts store and the internet.

I found several references on the internet to a Cub Cadet 3322. One photo has a 2 cycle engine. Another referece had a B&S engine.

Back to fully identifying the engine.

Price all the parts needed for the repairs. Harbor Freight sells vertical shafted engines suitable for lawn mowers, sometimes less expensive than the repair costs.

do you have a pic of YOUR mower? I have one that they claim is a cc but no markings on it. Its a 4 cycle motor.

The International push mowers made from 1972-1974 were Lawn-Boys with a different engine cover and paint scheme. I think they are cool because of the IH decals and the engine cover reminds me a little of a 67 GTO hood scoop.

O.k. Thanks for the pic! --- sorry but mine is a different model . Yours looks like a 2 cycle motor? IF so then the lawn-boy would be correct.
Mine has a Honda motor on it.

The mower Im working on and need a coil for is just like the one indy61 has pictured. Serial number indicates it's a 73.

I would take the coil off and look on ebay searching for the coil number. That is in fact a Lawn Boy mower, and Lawn Boy parts are readily available. Toro bought Lawn Boy in the early 2000s, so Toro dealers can get Lawn Boy parts, but your likely to find it on ebay or just by searching the internet. You'll NEVER find it by looking for the make/model of the mower, you need the number off of the coil.
