Got a few questions about the moldboard plows.

First, is $225 for a 2-14 moldboard plow WITH depth control a good price?

Second is was told it had supper chief plows but after looking em up they still had many different types, like some are for deep tilling, others are for fast plowing etc. How can I tell which type it is IF I can't read any markings?

Is this a pull type plow???----telling type is not very easy if no markings are visible! ----Pix. would help! thanks; sonny

That is a very good price if it is in good usable condition. On a super A you have to have the drawbar to bolt it up and you HAVE to have the depth control rod or it won't work right. The depth control rods are a 2 peices of flat bar generally that hook to the front hydraulics and that is the piece that is usually lost.

Not a pull type, its the semimounted version and I have a floating drawbar. Haven't seen it so no pics yet but he said it was complete and comes with the depth control. They have many Farmall tractors for parts and implements so I hope he is correct about it having everything. I have looked up the plow parts manuals so I'll check vs them to see what if anything is missing. He just doesn't know which IH number plow it is so I'll have to just bring different diagrams for each models, but almost all the A, SA-140 years 2 bottom plows mounted to drawbar are very similar
