Hi,
I've inherited an old tractor, and would like to get it started again. It is quite rusty, so I am unsure where to start. For one, I have no idea where the key is, and when I tried to pull the choke it just separated from the cable. Good learning moment. The radiator and fuel tank look to be empty and clean, but there is no fuel strainer bowl so I think I need to replace that before I put any fuel in.
Before even putting fuel in, my plan is to replace all fluids and gunk that may be in the engine, and to put some fogging oil in the cylinders. Anything else you recommend? I think I would like to restore this tractor, but getting it started is definitely the first milestone for me. Otherwise, am I in the correct thread? I am not sure if my tractor is a 154, 184 or 185 so I just want to make sure that I am in the right place.
Any guidance or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Huck
