1949 cub grill

I recently refinished the hood on my 49 cub and need to replace the grill. It is the wire mesh style. Does anyone know where to get a good quality one that fits well or which ones to stay away from? Also where is a good place to get a good quality decal kit for a 49 cub? This is not a show tractor but I would like a good product to keep it looking nice.

I also would look for JP tractor for an orginal grill. The re pop grill I bought does not quite fit and I have read that from other members.

A while back, I bought an aftermarket screen grill, and although close, it was not a perfect fit for the hood and bolster curvatures. As I was "adjusting" this, I realized that where the top and bottom frames were spot welded around the screen, it was easy to accidentally bend the grill too far.

So my caution is to make sure you block the grill carefully if you try making curvature adjustments.

Thanks for the link, good information. I have a old bolster that I will use to get the right curvature for the bottom of the grill if needed.

I got my grill today and it fit surprisingly well right out of the box. I just had to make some minor adjustments on the upper and lower bends. It is a good heavy quality as well. All it needs now is a coat of red paint which it will get this winter when I tear the back half of the cub down and repaint it. Thank you barnyard for steering me towards TM tractor.
