1945 Farmall H

This is my first full size Farmall, I have a 53 Cub and a bunch of Cub Cadets.

This was redone quite a few years ago by a friend of mine and he had traded it off and lost track of it.

I'm pretty happy to have found it for myself! He paints for a living and it was done very nicely!

Looks like it has sit outside quite a bit since then, but still looks pretty good!

First pic is next to my Cub and my tractor show before I found it was for sale just a few weeks ago.

Next one is after I got it home and gave it a bath.

Randy

Besides picking up hay the H was the first tractor I went to field on. We used ours primarily for mowing and raking hay. At the time it was also big enough to run 6" and 8" unloading arguers. Now you need a 100 hp tractor to run a good sized arguer. Very fuel efficient when used in those roles. Never got used much in the winter months as it was too small to run our grinder mixer and the narrow front was horrible for use in feedlots and the usual winter mud that we fought every year.

24 years ago I bought a 350 based on my experience with the H - the 350 with IPTO and independent hydraulics was a great little tractor for our small square bale hay operation. Finally sold it when it just didn't have the power to fold a V rake and it was cheaper to buy a bigger tractor than it was to replace the hydraulic pump.
