154 choke cable anchor at carb

Anyone can post a closeup picture of the choke cable anchor bracket at the carb for a 154? Any dimensions would be helpful. TKS Stan

Duner, thanks for posting the picture. I don't understand how the shorter piece clamps the cable since there is no bolt to tighten. Can you explain that? TIA.

It’s a spring clip, Bob, you insert the top leg into the hole, set the cable where you want it and snap it into place with a pliar.

Maybe the holes for a screw/bolt are for some other applications. I've seen some information that lists several Cub Cadets that use it. Stan

It is indeed a spring clip and is listed for other cub cadet applications per info from ihccw.com. Part number is 235603 spring clip. I've ordered the 2 parts. Stan

Correction: I've discovered that TC131 parts manual for controls section H (including the choke info) lists a parts change at SN 14535 and above. The speed clip (it's called in TC 131) is IH 391 076 R1 and appears to be the same for before and after the change. The above part number KH 235603 is a cub cadet number, same as IH 547 611. Anyway it appears like there is multiple numbers referencing the speed clip that attaches the lower end of the choke cable to the carb with the bracket listed in ENG 1 like the pics that Duner posted above. VERY CONFUSING!!!! JMHO Stan

It took a while but I found the OEM bracket and clip. Here's the way it looks mounted on a IH carb. Sorry for the orientation, the posting flipped them 90 degrees. Stan
