I have taken the engine out of a 102&108 lifting them myself.I am a very small man, 5 ft 6 in tall and 120 pounds, soaking wet.I now have a lift,small chain block.I am getting older and wiser. 8) :-

Guess it depends on the man. It's no lightweight , about a 130-140 lbs, but yes one person can take one out, although you may not want to go very far with it after you have it out, and you probably will want some help to get it up on a bench. There may be a lifting bracket on one (sometimes connected to two) of the front, head bolts. These are just a simple "L" bracket with a head bolt through one leg and a hole for a clevis or lifting hook in the other leg. It is usually one of thoses things that 'gets lost' during an engine rebuild or other recommended maintenance like removing the head to clean out carbon buildup on/in the head/cylinder/valve area. That should be done every 250 or 500 hours depending on the gas used (leaded or unleaded), according to the book, but depending on the engine condition and use, may need to be done more often.
