The rear PTO is almost useless for running any implement(IH and/or Cub Cadet only authorized a trencher that utilized the rear PTO). The IH tiller and Dyfuss post hole digger both use the looong belt and right angle gear box bolted on to the rear end. The tillers can be found(There is a #1, 1A and #2 tillers out there) and the post hole diggers are rare and expensive if you locate any. The only reason I have a working rear PTO is to turn the Cub rigt angle pulley drive for flat belting. The RPM of the PTO is 518 and they turm backwards for most implements. I have seen people put Hub City Reverses on them which also changes the spline to a standard spline. Those reverses sell for about $400. I like the #1 or the #1A(there is no real difference between these tillers but the may come in 26" width(no extensions, 32" with right or left extension and 38" with both extensions. That is the best as the tines are removable if you are in tough ground or sod. The #2 is 38" with no sections and don't have the removable tines.
