The manual shows #28 Clovis and pin. Any idea what size the clevis is short of me just going and trying to get the correct size?

The manual says the pin is 1/2" X 1-1/2". The hole in mine is definitely not 1/2" dia.

Yeah it will depend on size of your chain. Take chain with you. Doubtful you’ll find the long slim straight side ones but I could be wrong. Just get the largest one that will fit your chain. Hopefully you won’t have to get different chain
 
Check out D shackles or twist shackles on Amazon. They have them in different sizes. Absolutely no need to use a 1/2”. Not sure what size mine is but it’s definitely not 1/2” and it’s been in use for years.

EDIT: Decided to do a quick check, I have at least 2 of the OEM type in the picture. The smaller curved shaped one can be bought at a hardware store. The longer one with the carriage bolt looks like a 1/2 inch pin would work. Stan

Here’s a pic of my setup with a regular 3/8” clevis. Notice though that the chain is made with longerand wider links than a regular chain of that size. 1/2” clevis would fit on mine I believe, but used what I had on hand and it works just fine.
