If you have ever been through a tropical storm or hurricane you know what he means!!!!! We're talking about a foot or more of rain in 24-36 hours. Stan
 
Katrina brought as much as 15 inches of rain and the storm surge of about 28 ft above high tide flooded several miles inland from the coast. The city of Biloxi, MS was completely inundated from the Gulf to Biloxi Bay. I saw a whole house that was lifted from it's foundation and was sitting pretty much intact on the main railroad tracks that run along the coastal MS area. Unbelievable destruction!!!
