IH Universal Engineers Tractor (UET)

Jim Becker first mentioned the IH UET when I posted about my son Erik enlisting in the US Army with Basic Combat & Advanced Instructional Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Last Thursday and Friday my wife and I attended Erik's Graduation Ceremony and had the opportunity to look at this piece of equipment.

I was wondering if you would have a chance to go by the museum while you were there, glad to see you got there one morning. Here is the data plate on that machine. While nobody was looking, I should have stuck a big red/black IH sticker below the CoE insignia on the front. It would probably still be there.

Really neat piece of history! Would love to see it in action. Wonder if they ever run it to keep it going?
