Drivers education

Postby SamsFarm » Thu Feb 11, 2021 7:00 pm

So...... Yesterday (2/10/2021) I went to get aload of hay at my other place and while traviling down the road on my cub with a empty hay wagon, I was using hand signals to make a left turn.

Some young girl started to pass me as I began to turn.

She just smiled and waved while my cub grader blade had already crossed the line and was close to her car!

Do they not teach hand signals in drivers ed anymore?

I had a cab tractor with turn signals and using hand signals and still had people try and pass me while turning left, in a curve. People always in a hurry.

Idiots around here too! same deal and THEY are the ones causing the crashes and some innocent person gets killed by their stupidity! Sad world we live in today!
P.S. and yes I put in my time in drivers ed. class (1962) and teacher just had me drive where ever I wanted to go to put in my time! He told my dad that I was teaching him about driving since I started driving at the age of 8 out in the fields on dads tractors and in his 48 GMC grain truck!
A friend of dads had an old semi and I started driving it in his hay fields while ground help loaded bales on the flatbed we were using. Thats how I learned to drive semis! self taught!
Todays people dont know what a hay field is!
No body will slow down for you or give you a second to turn or pull over so they can pass!
