It was there but the spot where worn was above the shield

You had both clips...the one at the pedal pivot and the one at the panel?

Hi,
Below is a post I put wiring info on, it shows a new battery to starter cable for the 6 volt system, if you need one.

It helps to take the clips loose, and bend the cable so it stays close to the clutch housing, and away from the clutch pedal, and away from where your foot is, when the clips are fastened on again.
