I am very interested in learning more about the long ramps, actual length and what the capacity is.

Ramps are 10' lonf, 16" wide and hold 5,000 lbs per pair.

How high is your trailer bed?

trailer is 19in at the beavertail, rest of the deck is 24in, FC bed height at the rear is 44 inches, so kinda tall. its a 9ft x 7ft bed. Where did you find your 10ft ramps?

it kinda sticks its butt up in the air. it has a 11350 GVW , as it was a fire truck when it was younger. I have not yet loaded it with anything that makes it squat

Paula and I have had a Tacoma on order since early October. We optioned it out with all the bells and whistles. It’s a 4 door Off Road TRD .
The idea is it’s an off road capable pickup for all the adventures chasing fossils that Paula will do while still being comfortable and cushy inside.
Being new and comfy we can take it on long trips and being a pickup we can bring home tractor parts we might find and yes Paula is right there with me with that purpose in mind.
This will be mostly her vehicle.
Now if the world will return to normal just long enough for Toyota to build this for us.

I have never been able see why Toyota thought that particular combination of letters was a good idea. I can only come up with one way to pronounce it as a word.

Probably only a few remember the El Camino!

Oh I remember them quite well, and if you ever had to install a 110 watt Motorola radio made around 40 or 45 years ago in one you would remember them too, but not fondly.

Ya I know, TURD , and the fan base for them call’em “Taco” which isn’t much better but it’s very capable off road, has the best resale, 278hp, 24mpg, 6,400lb tow capacity and a great reputation for reliability.
This is for Paula. We agreed with all she does she needs a pickup but not one of the behemoths that full sized trucks have evolved into.
In fact this thing isn’t much smaller than my ‘99 Chevy K1500 4x4 which BTW is in the garage. I doubt I’d be able to get a new full size pickup thru the door.

I only know this from watching videos and reading reviews on the Tacoma before we settled on it.
It’s popular with the younger crew. Doesn’t mean you’ll see ours with the big exhaust extension (Fart can) installed.
Though it’s available in colors Like bright blue and army green we opted for silver thinking it’d be classy and conservative, less flashy.
If you get a chance take a new one for a drive. It’ll impress you.

My father in law counted up & owned 22 Rancheros (the Ford answer to the El Camino) over the years. He was a Union block layer & just wanted something to haul his tools and ride like a car. Every winter when he was laid off he would trade for a new one no payments for 3 months. He kept his last one when he retired finally trading it in on a Bronco.
