Hydraulic Pressure Regulator Valve Bushing Removal

I have my hydraulic block disassembled. I extracted the Pressure Regulator Bushing using an Allen wrench and vice grip and pried it out. I slipped and scratched the inside of the bushing but, it is clear that it was already scratched up way beyond what I did, almost certainly from a previous removal attempt. I know this because the piston that fits into the bushing is scored. I can also see rust inside so I’d like to replace it.

Barnyard has the bushing but it is in the block. So, I am asking if anybody has a recommendation for the best chance of removing it without damaging it.

The How To recommends a modified Allen wrench which from looking at my already removed valve would be leaving about 1/8” of the material left after the 90°bend. Perhaps inserting a wooden dowel in the hole next to the Allen wrench to keep it from slipping. I was able to rotate the bushing with my fingers to loosen it up a little, which seems like a good idea before any attempts to pry it out.

I’m am looking for any ideas from someone who has done this before.
