What year

Postby Nthul86 » Mon Sep 07, 2020 11:37 pm

How can I find the age of the tractor. I found the serial number plate but it didn’t give a year or anything

The serial number is the usual way of telling the year of your tractor. Try this link to TM Tractors (a forum sponsor). They are also a good source for parts...link at the bottom of the page.

One thing to point out...the part that the data plate is riveted to (upper steering gear housing, more commonly referred to as the BOLSTER) is often replaced due to freeze damage. In the process, you may end up with a data plate from a different tractor. You can also use the link I posted to look up the engine serial number as well as the casting dates for various parts.

Oops! Just realized you have an H, not a Cub! The serial number and casting dates will still give you the year with the link I posted, but, as you know, the data plate is NOT on the bolster...sorry, and welcome! :D

Down the listed page for serial numbers/year.
