Re: help with blade
Pat,
First, understand that what you see in the photo is not the standard configuration for the Cub-54 blade bracketry. There are some "custom" pieces in there. Having said that, this lengthy thread may contain some information that may be useful to you...

Re: help with blade
That’s an early blade. The piece in question is a factory style piece. And it was not a good design. They usually are bent. Can’t help you with the dimensions. Sold mine a few years ago. Someone here will have one and will be along with some measurements

Re: help with blade
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: help with blade
I just measured one of mine- 23 1/2" c to c on the top line, 6 1/2" on bottom. 1 1/2" x 2" angle 5/16 thick as far as I can tell. The holes are in the 2" face. Angle is 25 1/4" OA. The reinforcement for the center pivot is 3" long. Hope this helps, if you need more info I'll try to help. John

Re: help with blade
After I hit submit I saw that Ned beat me. Also realized in my hurry to help I missed the round rod. Its the thought that counts I guess. I am used to being a day late and a dollar short

Re: help with blade
One more item if you haven't already made it, is a bell crank extension ( will raise your blade much higher. Take a piece of 3/8" x 1- 1/2" x 12 steel drill 3 holes (two to match bellcrank Center starting holes starting one inch from each end and line up first hole with bolt hole on bell crank closest to the back and and mark the second hole from the bellcrank and drill for bell crank and attach. the hole closest to the front extends passed the bell crank and attaches to the down pressure rod).
Ain't no shame in being early

Just realized you asked about two parts. My previous comment was about the angle iron piece. The round rod in your pic is not original.

Re: help with blade
Hi,
There are different lift parts on different ages of blades.
The pic you posted above isn't your blade, I guess, so we don't have any pic of what you have.
Below is the operator's manual for the Cub 54 Blade, it has lots of info, and pics of the parts.
This is the later blade, with the spring on the lift linkage on the front.
