Check those weight bolts

I was mowing yesterday and without paying attention I backed into the right front tire of one of my Cubs pretty hard with my drawbar. No damage done as far as I could tell. Later I approached the left side of the Cub from a different direction and found this.

I'm glad I wasn't transporting this on the trailer and hit a rough road. The bolts were rusted clean through.

Man that could have been bad. I don't think mine have ever been off, I was thinking of new bolts for mine for this winter as I am thinking about 2 sets of weights & chains for snow duty as we are moving to a new place up in the mountains. Either way I'm gonna check em now thanks for letting everyone know. TJ

There have been multiple conversations here on the forum about how to
go about removing rear weights - engine hoists, 4x4's, floor jacks...
