Yanmar YM1700

I'm going to go look at this tractor Saturday. It's missing the right fender and has an issue with the right brake. I know basically nothing about Yanmars, and particularly nothing about a YM1700. I did a limited search and know there are two different versions of a YM1700, and earlier version like this one from the '70s, and a later version around 2000. Both editions can be had in 2WD and 4WD, have a 17 hp two cylinder, diesel engine, 8 speed, dual range transmission.

Any info would be helpful. I know I found a parts manual for this edition (in Japenese), and a parts manual for the later YM1700-A in both English and Japenese. From my search, parts can be had for some Yanmar tractors (this is one of them) but other Yanmars need to be avoided.

I’ve had a couple U.S. market Yanmars, a YM240 and a late YM187. The 1700 is a gray market tractor, imported to the U.S. as a used tractor. There are a couple parts sources for the gray market tractors and different sources for the U.S. tractors, they are not the same. The price on the one shown, should be pretty low, it’s an old one. They are pretty handy tractors to have around, though.

Unfortunately, it sold already. But, the missing fender would have bother me.
